Elsa immigrated from Albania to the United States in 2001 when she was four years old. During this chaotic adjustment period of assimilation, she found happiness in passed down Disney Pixar VHS tapes and late night reruns of Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirted Away on Cartoon Network. She became passionate about telling stories that one day would become beloved to people and graduated with a Master’s Degree in English and Poetry at Wayne State University. While focusing on her studies, she also became a self-taught editor and filmmaker through her web-series A Girl In A Box. As an editor she continues to take influence from her poetry background to bring perspective, experimentation, and meaning to audiences.
